Manage membership tiers
A tier is a paid plan members subscribe to. Each tier has a price and a set of unlocked spaces and perks. This guide covers creating, editing, and ordering tiers.
Create a tier
- Go to Admin → Membership Tiers.
- Click Add Tier.
- Set the name, monthly and/or yearly price, and a benefits description.
- Save.
Decide what each tier unlocks
Gating happens at the space level:
- Open Admin → Spaces and pick a space.
- Set its access to a specific tier (e.g. Premium).
- Repeat for each space you want to gate.
A higher tier should unlock everything the lower tiers do, plus extra spaces or patron perks. Map this out before pricing.
Edit or reprice a tier
- Open the tier in Admin → Membership Tiers.
- Update the name, description, or price and save.
Existing subscribers keep their current rate; price changes apply to new sign-ups and renewals, handled by Stripe at checkout.
Order tiers
Drag tiers in the list to control the order members see on the upgrade screen. Put your recommended plan in a clear, prominent position.
Archive a tier
Disable a tier to stop new sign-ups. Current subscribers keep access until they cancel.

FAQ
How many tiers can I have? Multiple — most communities run 2–3 (e.g. Free, Insiders, Premium). Keep it simple so the choice is easy.
Can one space belong to two tiers? Set the space to its lowest-qualifying tier; higher tiers inherit access automatically.
Can I let the AI Owner Copilot set this up? Yes. Ask the Copilot to create a tier or gate a space — it runs the action with a confirmation gate and logs it.
Do tier changes affect current members? Existing subscribers keep their plan and rate until they upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.
