Invite your first members
A community needs people. This tutorial covers inviting members one by one, inviting in bulk, choosing their role, and making sure they land somewhere useful. About 8 minutes.
1. Prepare a landing space
Before you invite anyone, make sure there's a place to greet them.
- Open the Admin panel and go to Admin → Spaces.
- Confirm you have a
Welcomespace with anintroductionschannel (created during launch). - Optional: go to Admin → Onboarding and add a short welcome message.
2. Invite people one at a time
- Go to Admin → Members → Invitations.
- Enter an email address.
- Choose a role:
memberfor most people,adminfor co-organizers. - Click Send invite. They receive a join link by email.
3. Invite in bulk
For a launch list, invite everyone at once.
- In Admin → Members → Invitations, choose Bulk invite.
- Paste multiple email addresses (one per line) or upload a CSV.
- Pick the default role for the batch.
- Click Send invites.
Bulk invites all share the same role. Promote individuals to
adminafterward from Admin → Members.
4. Track who has joined
- Open Admin → Members.
- The list shows pending invitations versus joined members.
- Resend or revoke any pending invite from the row actions.
5. Welcome them in
- Post a message in
introductionsgreeting new arrivals. - Turn on gamification (Admin → Gamification) so first posts earn XP and members see a leaderboard.
- Check Admin → Analytics after a few days to watch member growth.
Tip: Ask the AI Owner Copilot to "invite three admins and send the welcome list" — it drafts the invitations and asks you to confirm before sending.

FAQ
What roles can I assign?
owner (you), admin (full management), and member (standard access). Set roles at invite time or change them later in Admin → Members.
Is there a limit on bulk invites? You can paste a long list or upload a CSV. Very large lists may be processed in batches.
Can I revoke an invite before someone joins? Yes. Find the pending invite in Admin → Members and choose Revoke.
Do invited members need a password? They sign in with email or Google. No separate password setup is required for Google sign-in.
