Bonfire plans and pricing

This page explains what you, the owner, pay Bonfire for your subscription to the platform. That is separate from what your members pay you for paid tiers — member payments run on your own Stripe account, set up under Admin → Payment Setup. Here we only cover your own Bonfire plan, managed under Admin → Billing.

The plan ladder

Bonfire has four standard plans. Each one raises your member ceiling and unlocks more of the platform.

  • Starter — $49/mo. Up to 100 members, a subdomain (yourname.onbonfire.com), real-time chat and DMs, basic gamification (XP, levels), 3 courses, and email support.
  • Growth — $149/mo. Up to 1,000 members, custom domain + SSL, white-label PWA (your app icon and name), unlimited courses and LMS, full gamification (badges, leaderboards, challenges), the AI Owner Copilot, analytics dashboard, and a referral system.
  • Business — $299/mo. Up to 5,000 members, everything in Growth plus full white-label (your brand and domain, no Bonfire on public pages), public API + webhooks access, automated engagement (rituals, member health, matchmaking), and priority support.
  • Enterprise — $599/mo. Unlimited members, everything in Business plus a dedicated account manager, a 99.9% uptime SLA, custom integrations (CRM, BI tools), done-for-you setup, and migration assistance from Skool, Circle, or Discord.

Developer features matter for the ladder: the public API, webhooks, and CLI require Business or Enterprise. If you plan to build against Bonfire programmatically, budget for at least the Business plan.

How owner billing works

Your Bonfire subscription is handled by Freemius, the payment provider. You manage everything from Admin → Billing:

  • See your current plan and member/course limits at a glance.
  • Upgrade to a higher plan — Freemius prorates the difference so you only pay for the rest of the cycle.
  • Manage your subscription, payment method, and invoices through the Freemius customer portal (users.freemius.com).

Your payment method is stored securely by Freemius, not by Bonfire. Plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can try a paid plan and get a refund if it isn't the right fit.

Note: this Freemius billing is only for your own plan. It has nothing to do with collecting money from your members — that is Stripe Connect, configured under Admin → Payment Setup.

Founding launch offer

While Bonfire is in its launch phase, the standard ladder above is set aside in favor of one deal. The founding launch offer, shown on the /pricing page, gives every founding owner the full top tier — the complete Enterprise feature set — at a founding price, locked for life.

  • $150/month, struck through from the regular $599 Enterprise rate.
  • Or $1,200/year — which works out cheaper than paying monthly.
  • You get the entire top-tier feature set: unlimited members, full white-label with your brand and custom domain, white-label PWA, unlimited courses and LMS, full gamification, the AI Owner Copilot, automated engagement, public API + webhooks, done-for-you setup and migration, and priority support with a dedicated account manager.
  • The price locks in for life, with limited seats — once founding seats are gone, pricing returns to the standard plans above.

The founding deal is bought directly on /pricing. It is the same money-side mechanics as any other plan: your subscription is billed through Freemius and managed under Admin → Billing.

Is this what my members pay? No. This page is about what you pay Bonfire for your platform plan. What members pay you for paid tiers runs on your own Stripe account, set up under Admin → Payment Setup.

Which plans include the public API and webhooks? Business and Enterprise. The CLI also requires Business or Enterprise. Starter and Growth do not include API access.

Where do I manage and change my plan? Under Admin → Billing, which connects to the Freemius customer portal for payment method, invoices, and upgrades.

Can I get a refund if I upgrade and change my mind? Yes — paid plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Is the founding price really locked for life? Yes. The founding launch offer on /pricing locks your rate for life on the full top tier, with limited seats. When they're gone, pricing reverts to the standard ladder.
