Navigate spaces and channels
The community is organized into spaces (grouped into space groups) that each contain channels where conversations happen. Here's how to get around.
Steps
- Open the sidebar on the left. It lists the space groups and spaces you have access to.
- Click a space to expand its channels.
- Click a channel to open its real-time chat feed.
- To post, type in the message box at the bottom and press Enter.
- To reply in a thread, hover a message and click Reply — this keeps side conversations tidy.
- Add a reaction by hovering a message and clicking the emoji icon.
Direct messages
To message someone privately, click their name or avatar and choose Message, or open the DMs section in the sidebar. DMs are one-to-one and private.
Don't see a space you expected? Access depends on your role and which spaces the owner has opened to members. Ask an admin if you think you're missing one.
Catching up
Channels with unread activity are highlighted in the sidebar. Open them to mark as read. Use threads to follow a specific discussion without scrolling the whole feed.

Can I leave or mute a channel? You can mute notifications per channel from Notification settings. Access is managed by admins.
Where do threads live? Threads stay attached to the original message in the channel. Click the message to reopen the thread.
How do I start a DM? Click a member's avatar and choose Message, or use the DMs section in the sidebar.
