How to use Hackathon

Hackathon lets your community organize and run events end to end — create a hackathon, set a prize, track team registrations, and move it through its lifecycle.

Enable it

Owners turn this on from Admin -> Module Store -> find Hackathon -> toggle on. Requires the Pro plan or higher.

Where to find it

Once enabled, members open it at /hackathons from the community navigation.

What you can do

  • Click New Hackathon (organizers) to open the form and add a title, description, start/end dates, prize, max teams, teams registered, and status.
  • Set status to Upcoming, Active, Judging, or Completed.
  • Browse hackathon cards showing the prize, team registration progress bar, and status badge.
  • Filter the list by status (All, Judging, etc.).
  • Open a hackathon at /hackathons/:id, edit it, or delete it (confirms first).
